The Vitruvian Man Returns to Venice
April 4 – July 27, 2025 | Gallerie dell’Accademia

A rare opportunity: Leonardo da Vinci’s iconic Vitruvian Man will be on public display for the first time in years. This delicate drawing, a universal symbol of human harmony and ideal proportions, is rarely exhibited.

The exhibition, “Modern Bodies. The Construction of the Body in Renaissance Venice”, explores the human body through the lens of art, science, and beauty. Works by Leonardo, Michelangelo, Dürer, and Giorgione will guide visitors through this fascinating journey.

Highlights:

  • The Vitruvian Man, shown alongside ancient Greek reliefs and Dürer’s nude Self-Portrait, exhibited in Italy for the very first time.

  • A unique look at the body as the measure of the world.
